From the sound of your description of the patterns, it sounds as if the beadwork/beadweaving created the "material" that became the garment. Kind of like knitting in the fact that you create the "material" in the shape that you need. Is this correct? Only a couple pokes for you.....

where can I make a peyote pattern?

I want to make a pattern to use for a peyote bead bracelet. Just a simple pattern blue background with a lightning bolt. I want to map out the pattern before I start weaving, but I need to find either a blank pattern to color in, or something on the web to use to make a pattern. Anyone have any ideas...
