  • Re: Pricing

Black Cat is Correct: Never forget that by X3 you are able to then cover all those little costs to you that ADD UP! Do not I REPEAT DO NOT, under price yourself, one of a sellers most abused self-destructing and undermining things to do. WHY? because you are undervaluing yourself, your work and your...

  • New Crafting Blog

I started a blog a few weeks ago. I added some new entries tonight. I have a few more I want to add soon. I am blogging about my work and what I offer. I also am going to blog about interesting stuff besides jewelry. I also blog about other artists work. I am currently looking for artists to feature...

  • Re: Designing sets vs. single items

Hold the phone! I make mostly earring and necklace sets and find people love getting the earrings (they think for free!) with a necklace. If they're not so crazy about the earrings, I suggest giving them as a gift. If the earrings prove a deal breaker, I'll offer to take the earring s and charge...

  • Where have you sold your jewelry?

For me it was at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. This is great for anyone who has their own art to sell and doesn’t want to pay a big booth fee. Their shows are the 2nd Sunday of every month now through October. I did very well there. Another good place would be The Blue Orchid flower...

  • QVC and HSN

After all these years we finally had the "limited" cable service installed. I told my husband to remove QVC and HSN for a variety of reasons. Before he removed them from the list of channels we can view, I took a look at their jewelry shows and I was impressed by the beauty and workmanship...

  • Re: Beadalon Scrimps

Thanks for the reply. My class and I had so much trouble with the foldover crimps last Thursday that I've finally given up on them. I have been using the same crimping pliers since last fall 2007. I'm wondering for how long they work well as I didn't have any trouble making foldover crimps...

  • Re: Beadalon Scrimps

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll continue to use the foldover crimp tubes as this is the kind that is available locally for my students. Maybe I will try a thicker wire - 19 strand. Perhaps the thicker wire is better to use with the foldover crimps and still thin enough to use with most beads...
