  • Re: keshi (keishe?) pearls

Hi, Yes, Fire Mountain Gems usually sell Keishi Pearls. This company sells them too.

  • Where have you sold your jewelry?

For me it was at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. This is great for anyone who has their own art to sell and doesn’t want to pay a big booth fee. Their shows are the 2nd Sunday of every month now through October. I did very well there. Another good place would be The Blue Orchid flower...

  • Re: Pricing a piece with a focal

I don't have an answer and I sure would like to know too as I'd like to purchase some nice pendants to add to my necklaces.

  • QVC and HSN

After all these years we finally had the "limited" cable service installed. I told my husband to remove QVC and HSN for a variety of reasons. Before he removed them from the list of channels we can view, I took a look at their jewelry shows and I was impressed by the beauty and workmanship...

  • Re: Beadalon Scrimps

Thanks for the reply. My class and I had so much trouble with the foldover crimps last Thursday that I've finally given up on them. I have been using the same crimping pliers since last fall 2007. I'm wondering for how long they work well as I didn't have any trouble making foldover crimps...

  • Re: Beadalon Scrimps

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll continue to use the foldover crimp tubes as this is the kind that is available locally for my students. Maybe I will try a thicker wire - 19 strand. Perhaps the thicker wire is better to use with the foldover crimps and still thin enough to use with most beads...

  • Re: What is this gemstone?

(See picture in my last post). The Australian Jasper was poorly dyed. I did wash the stones after I purchased them because the color looked fake to me. After I made the necklace I wore it for a few hours and the coloring came off on my neck. I am concerned that suppliers are dying stones that do not...

  • Round gemstone beads make "cherry" pendants

I was inspired by a project featured in Pinn Beads and made these gemstone pendants. I used dyed suede flat cords to match or compliment the colors of the gemstones. I made several variations - red corrals, blue turquoise, rose quartz, fire agate, amethyst, pearls, etc. - and they came out to be great...

  • length of necklace to wear toggle in front

I made some necklaces so that the toggle is to be worn in the front. I added a pendant to the toggle or some charms. The necklaces are short-perhaps 18 inches long. I feel that the necklaces are too short for a front toggle. What's the right length for a front toggle?
