Thick, black, stretch cord for bracelets and watches

I've been asked to repair my Aunt's jewelry. She has some bracelets strung on stretchy cord and the cord needs to be replaced. It's very thick and almost looks cottony. I tried getting Stretch Magic/Power Cord and it's not at all a good substitute. The cord is way too thin and the bracelets...
