  • Looking for a few great books!!

I am looking jewelry-making books on all aspects of the craft. Seed Beads, Wire Working, Pearls, General, Crystal, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? I read the reviews on Amazon but I am never too sure of those so I figured I would ask here. Thanks, Jeanne

  • What crimp tubes to use with what size wire?

In need of help: I have made a couple bracelets only to have them break apart. I suspect it's because I'm not using the appropriate sized crimp tubes with the corresponding wire sizes. Can someone break this down for me like I'm a 2yr old, maybe some sort of table, and save me from stringing...

Perhaps the thicker wire is better to use with the foldover crimps and still thin enough to use with most beads...

  • Breaking Necklaces

I have been having problems with my jewelry breaking (mostly necklaces)-- the wire that I'm using is snapping in random places (it is a nylon monofilament). Can anyone suggest a specific brand that is known for its strength? I'm about to launch the web site for my company, and I don't want...

  • Re: Favorite beading wire for necklaces......

I am a Softflex devotee, usually 49 strands. The .014 is great for smaller, lighter beads, the .019 for average and the .024 for heavy beads. The Softtouch line has the best drape. I feel the extra money is worth it when I am using more expensive beads. Beadbiz
