GemMall.com has a good range of single, double and triple strand clasps in Sterling Silver but not in Vermeil. Why don't you check them out if it suits your requirements:

New Crafting Blog

I started a blog a few weeks ago. I added some new entries tonight. I have a few more I want to add soon. I am blogging about my work and what I offer. I also am going to blog about interesting stuff besides jewelry. I also blog about other artists work. I am currently looking for artists to feature on my blog. I am offering my time and free advertisement. Please check out my crafting blog and let me know if you might be interested. I will consider all inquires but all will not be approved. If you do quality work... you have a better chance of being blogged. Sorry... don't know how to put it politely. I'm very busy but try to set time aside to blog. I want to blog about quality... not quantity. There are many factors that come into play. I'm new at blogging and hope my upcoming entries will be of some interest.

Hi All!

Based on postings from a few other threads, I thought that perhaps I would start one about listing websites for which we jewelry artisans can sell our wares. We all about Etsy and how overcrowded it is with jewelry. I thought I would start with a list of websites for which I am familiar and, perhaps, some of you can add to this list. Perhaps, we can also discuss where we have had the best luck in sales? The way I see it, we are all in this together.

My list of artisan websites is below. And, yes, I am on several of these. It's like real estate - location, location, location. And, from my point of view - exposure, exposure, exposure! :)

My best sales has come from Etsy.com. I have also had a few sales from Yessy and Boundlessgallery. I have been on all three of these websites for under one year.

I have been showing my jewelry on absolutearts.com for several years, using the free listing. I have not had any sales. I have received a few inquiries, but that is it. I upgraded several months ago. Nothing has come from it still.

We all know that different types of people are attracted to different websites due to the type of art and price range. It's just like the location or type of store. So, my comments may just be due to my work not being of interest to the customers frequenting these websites. And, it can simply be the state of the economy (I keep telling myself this over and over!).

Regardless, I hope that these websites and future postings to this thread will assist many of you!

Have you considered using a scanner for your photos? Photographing your jewelry so it looks professional and is of good quality can be quite a process. I use a scanner for all my web photos and they quality is simply amazing.

You don't have to be a great photographer to get good photos for your website. Having a little knowlege of software like Photoshop or any kind of photography compuer software is helpful.

Have you tried using a scanner instead of photographing your jewelry? I have gotten wonderful results scanning my pieces into my computer and using photoshop software to adjust the lighting and brightness of the images.

Where have you sold your jewelry?

For me it was at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. This is great for anyone who has their own art to sell and doesn’t want to pay a big booth fee. Their shows are the 2nd Sunday of every month now through October. I did very well there. Another good place would be The Blue Orchid flower shop in Orange. Their booth fee there is 45 dollars and their shows are the first Saturday of every month. I tried the swap meet, but didn’t do well. I'd love to hear where you sold and what kind of luck you had.
