Wire wrapping Briolettes - Forever an exercise in frustration?

I'm so close to being done with this briolette.  I'm on step 14 of this tutorial:

Step 14, so close!  But that lil end does not want to tuck under the other wires.  I'm not using bent nose pliers, is that really my problem? I'm using flat pliers and just begging this little tail to get where it needs to be.  I feel like Happy Gilmore in that scene where Adam Sandler is on the ground screaming at the golf ball inches from the hole "Whats the matter with you?  Don't you like your home?  ARE YOU TOO GOOD FOR YOUR HOME??"

Okay, *pant*, I'm done venting.  Any tips from veteran briolette wrappers?

I think I'd be tempted to use either my fingernail, or a darning needle to tuck that end under.
