    Newbie here!!!!!

Hey there ladies & gentleman  I have started making jewelry not too long ago ...I just finished taking my first beading class. The instructor is great but I have been having problems making things on my own. I measure them out on my bead board but once I start stringing it onto the wire to make the bracelet it's too short and doesn't fit around my wrist. Then I'll take the clasp off and redo it I'll make it too big. Ahhhh!!!!! Help !!!!!!! Any suggestions....My wrist is like a 7 1/2-8 inches.....

I am struggling too with making bracelets.  I have found that the typical length for a bracelet for women is 7 1/2 inches and for men 8 - 8 1/2 inches.  This said, it also depends on the size of the beads and the findings.  I make the bracelet, then before I finish it off, I measure it, then check it on my wrist and then my daughter's.  If it fits okay, I finish it and then take it with me to work and try it out on my boss and the other employee!  I find that my bracelets with standard or smaller beads are great at 7 1/2 but if I use larger or longer beads, it can vary a lot!  I hope someone out there can help!
