Any ideas @ what to do with 3mm Swarovski bicones?

    Hello Beaders,

When I first started beading, for some reason, I bought small beads-I have a whole bunch of Swarovski Light Rose and Rose AB 3mm bicones.  Since I am not a young girl, these small beads would be lost on me.

Any ideas on what I could make that wouldn't look girlish and would better fit my adult female "fluffy" figure?

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can provide!!

    FXbeads:

3mm Swarvoskis would make great chandelier earrings.  You can use a lot of them and still not make the earring too heavy to wear.  You can also use them in a bead weave to add sparkle. I have used them in strung necklaces where they are not the focal point but just add sparkle and color to the rest of the necklace, like spacer beads.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the great ideas-I'm still mulling over in which project they would fit the best...

Sorry I don't have any ideas for you, but I found a color inspiration that seems not so 'girly' at Fusion Beads.  This might give you some ideas for other colors to pair up with the rose.  Let us know what you end up with!

Thanks, Peachtree, that is a much more sophisticated use of pink that doesn't have a hint of little girl to it!

You can make a beautiful peyote piece with the 3MM Swarovski 5301's, it's a little tricky but once you get the 'RHYTHM' your jewelry pieces turn out absolutely beautiful   Good Luck

     Dear Motochick,

I learned Peyote stitch about 6 mos. ago and have made 1 bracelet with 4mm cube beads.  The bracelet was made doing Peyote even stitch (haven't learned any other stitches yet!).

    Thanks for your suggestion...

I love Swarovski crystals as an accent bead. I love their colors and flash! Try creating a bold and funky/chunky necklace with some lampwork beads, pearls, and use the 3mm bicones as a contrasting color or accent color.
