I might have a pretty alternative, FMG sell Zircons in orange... however, it might be too orange like the hyacinth.

I bought a faceted zircon in champagne for my neice from FMG. It's the prettiest dark peachy orange with gold hues.Picture below:

However, now they have beads that you could make something with a lot of drops on gold beading wire. Kind of like an illusion necklace.

Links to some of the beads they have.. there are more.

If that is not what your looking for, you could go for some carelian.

Do you know what the neckline will look like on the dresses?  If it's not a low neckline, any bead you buy to match the dress color may not show well and you may want to choose a darker or lighter color.  If the dress has a lower neckline you should be OK trying to match the beads to the fabric.  Can you get a swatch of the fabric and take to bead stores?

What about using silk ribbons?  Or you could use 6mm carnelian rounds on a wire with simple loops every couple inches on a delicate gold chain (maybe alternate between the carnelian and Swarovski crystals).

Don't forget to show us what you end up with!  Alice

You might consider trying Swarovski Fire Opal or Fire Opal satin crystals. They are two-toned orange and yellow/gold. The satin effect crystals have a more burnt orange color.  Consider looking into carnelian and citrine stone beads in combination with the fire opal crystals. Hope this helps!

A few other "orangish" options within Swarovski are Indian Red and Red Topaz.  (as well as the hyacinth that you mentioned and the fire opal suggestion. )  Or even Padparadscha as a lighter contrast.

Hyacinth Satin is a bit toned down, and could work well, too.

We just sold a ton of Indian Red to one bride who is doing not only her bridesmaids' jewelry in this funky bold color, but her own!  I can't wait to see the pictures.  I love it when brides and designers think outside the 'Aurora Borealis' -box for bridal jewelry!

Why not use a golden citrine to complement the sash and not worry about the orange being the primary color in the necklace, so it won't clash with the burnt orange color of the dress.

I would make a multi-strand "torsade" of keishi pearls in a soft ivory or champagne color; dark-golden, faceted citrine briolettes, a metal bead (either gold or silver) and maybe a contrasting burnt-orange color Czech glass bead. I would also incorporate a lampwork or Czech glass leaf bead into the design. There are some multi-color Czech glass beads in the gold/orange family, that would tie in with the October theme and color.

Oh...I just love fall and my birthday is in October and I wish I could have this project to work on with you

Good luck an let me know if you need anymore ideas.

    here's a crystal color chart

Fusion has Swarovski with a champagne coating, which gives a bit of a gold look. the fire opal satin is a good idea, maybe with some gold/bright gold/copper crystal pearls. or you could use seed beads.art beads has two pages with wedding idea's-here and here

    hope that helps!
