Anyone ever do anything for men?

My husband's always been supportive of my beading addiction and has even said he'd be a walking billboard for my stuff if I could come up with something masculine.  He's been drawn to Onyx and Hematite, probably because black is an obvious choice for a guy.  Beyond that, or maybe wood beads, I'm kind of stumped as to what would work on a man.

So, I was wondering if anybody ever made any distinctly male pieces, and if so, do you have pictures of them you can share?  Thanks!

I myself am really not a fan of hematite, but do really like a lot of bone and wood beads.  Nearly anything light or dark with hemp works.  I also like a lot of copper or brass.  Here is a list of materials of things that I've worn or used:

    Hemp
    Wood
    Bone
    Shell
    Horn
    Dark gemstone chips
     Antiqued silver/pewter
    Copper
    Brass
    Ceramic beads
    Copper/Silver chain/wire/linked wire
    Gunmetal

    Hope that helps

I do a lot of stuff for men but unfortunately I don't have any pics handy on my pc, but I actually find it easier to design for men because simplicity seems to be the key.

Simple single strand patterns using hematite, dark stones, wood, and bone are big. Nothing really faceted but rather, squares, retangular, nuggets, unfaceted rondelles and some rounds. Also simple pendants, crosses, arrow heads or symbols are popular with my male clientele.

Men also tend to like shorter lengths that fit close on the neck, except that some men like slightly chunkier necklaces made of all wood in longer lengths.

Heavy guage chain maille in longer lengths (18" and longer) is also popular with the men who like to wear SS chains. Byzantine sells well but I explain up front that it can be pretty pricey because of the time involved. I make those custom order because the men who've wanted a byz chain have wanted 18 and 16 g. in rather long lengths. One guy even wanted one in 16g-28" to hang a pendant that memorialized his mother. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but he was right, it was pretty stunning when it was done.  And he was big and tall enough to pull it off.

For my son (who is 25) I have done wood and hematite combinations as well as heishi shell, which he really likes.  My brother (45) prefers hematite as well, but is open to small amounts of other colors of gemstones, as long as they are highlights, not focals.  Simpler the better is the view from my largely male family.  I have also done donut and wood combos, leather is the prefered stringing material.
