    presentation of price tags

I am trying to think of a way to price my jewelry but keep the price tags creative and  not take away from the  jewelry

I like to write on the tags what products I have used, so the little wrap around tags will not work. Any ideas???

    Re: presentation of price tags

I like to use good Avery business card paper.  I've made a template so that I can get two price tags on one business card (lengthwise, so each tag is long and narrow).  On the front of each tag I put the kind of bead and metal, the name of the piece and the price.  On the back of each tag I put my business name and contact information (it takes a little trial and error to get things just right, so practice on a plain piece of paper first, and hold it up to the Avery paper to see if it lines up).  I use a regular size punch to put a hole in the corner, and string a narrow ribbon or colored string through it and the jewelry.  For earrings, I use one business card vertically.  My biz name and info goes at the top, the other info goes at the bottom.  I've invested in a hole punch that makes tiny holes which work great for earrings--and then I put little rubber earnuts on the back.

It all looks very professional, and the customers really like knowing what sort of beads and metal are being used. Alice

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it, I think it is important that customers know that it has designed and  they do like knowing what type of product is used.

I love sterling silver and I want them to know,,

Trying to distinguish from the mass produced products

I will try those Avery product. I just bought a software that does cards, so I will see if I can use it

    take care

    Great idea!!!

I am going to try it too:)

For earrings, I have been using an index card.

I fold it in half(lengthwise), and cut it in half(lengthwise) so it will fit in a 2x3 plastic bag.

Then I fold the top of the folded index card about 1/4inch and then then  i make 2 small 1/4 inch cuts on the folded area about 1/2 inch from each side of the card.

Then I put my earrings in the slits and put a plastic earwire nut on the back.

Then I put it in the plastic bag, and I type what it is made of and tape it to the top, front of the bag.

Then I put the the bag in an organza bag with my card in it.

I have been putting the price on a tiny rectangular postit adhesive on the inside of the plastic bag. I have been trying to think of some other price tag method other than a string attached to the bracelet because I use alot of wirewor in my pieces and I wouldn't want it to get tangled.

A ribbon may work better because it is not as likely to get tangled.
