Help! I accidentally dripped some jewelers glue onto a gemstone bead in a necklace. What will remove it from the stone without harming it?

What kind of glue? You might need to take the bead off the necklace depending on the type of glue. Epoxy requires soaking in "Attack" to dissolve. Super glue ( Cyanoacrylate adhesives)  will crack off if frozen. Some glues can be split from smooth (glass or gemstone) surfaces with a razor blade. Acetone will soften some glues.

Russ, Thanks for your tip. I got it the night before my jewelry sale. I used the razor blade and it worked like a charm. Aren't you the Rings & Things guy? I was just at your trunk sale in Green Bay, WI last week. Shortly after I arrived there, the students and 2 teachers from this year's local technical school's jewelry repair & fabrication class showed up. They had decided to skip class and make a field trip to their first R&T trunk bead sale. (They've been talking about Attack on the Ganoksin forum recently. Sounds like nasty stuff.) Lynn
