Hi! I am looking for sterling silver necklaces to use with the jewelry I am making. Can anyone give me some good wholesale sources for these? I searched the internet but just can't seem to find ones with good prices. I realize that silver is high right now but don't want to pay more than I should since I will be retailing these finished necklaces. Thanks!

We just opened last week in Glasgow's West End (7 Keith Sreet/5 minutes from Kelvinhall underground) and we will be hosting a monthly beading group as well as 20+ classes a month. We have received some great feedback on prices, products, and needs but perhaps cyberspace will give us more (anoymity frees people). If you have anything you could pass onto us new kids on the block, it would be appreciated.

Hi, I started beading about 13 years ago making Rosaries for family and friends. I've made jewelry for myself and friends since then. Because of my first grand son's baptism this year I once again made Rosaries for all the attending family. Full circle I guess.

Hello just joined the beadstyle group. I live in (brrrr) Wisconsin, USA it is getting cold here - yuck.

Lets see Im a mom of 2 great kids, 2 cats and am working pt at our school. I bead sew create almost every day. I am trying to get my ETSY shop to be more productive as I am only able to work Pt outside the home. (working on getting disability - due to illness).

beading & sewing keep my brain active even when I cant be. Keeps this once very busy Mom occupied and I love doing it!~ bonus!

I am new to beading, only been it six months or so, but I'm going absolutely mad making gifts for Christmas. Anyone have any experience making little bitty girls bracelets? I need some help. Stretchy cord is hard to work with, but seems the best option. Any ideas?

Hi to all my creative beaders, I am a jewerly designer who loves to keep it simple. I've been designing jewerly for about a year now realized I had a special nac for design when I'd wear one of my pieces and folks would ask where I got it from, would offer to purchase it. I'm also a ceramicist, own moonlitefantasies.etsy.com. where at present have 135 ceramic pieces up there but after my show this Saturday, I will be putting some of my jewerly up on my web site for the holidays. Down here in the Deep South, I have opened my home to a few girls who come over on Thrusdays to get Ideas,design, need help with, I have snacks available, we usually meet from 5-6pm--11-Midnight if we are real lost in design, Hench my web site name... as most of my work is done in moonlite.... I look forward to checking out all of your designs and sharing ideas. I'm not really new to here, it's just i've never written in the forum before, to be honest I only found this page in the forum tonight.

I've been beading about 2 years and can't get enough of it, my hobbies never usually last this long but i've definately got an addiction to it! can't walk past a bead shop without going in to see what they've got, and rarely leave without buying something!!

And when i know i'm going to a new place I check on google to find the local bead shops.

It has become an expensive hobby!

I'm from eastern Canada. I'm uh ahh...mmnnn about 50 years old, give or take a few years lol. After being a quilter most of my life, I've decided to "move on" to something new, creating my own jewelry (being allergic to everything except gold, needed to find ways to make my own and tg there's a lot of stuff that can be used without being allergic to it!)

did I mention I'm a woman? nope

also looking into polymer clay (and maybe one day metal clay) 'cause after discovering how expensive it can be making ur own jewelry, thought I would start making my own pieces for a lot less $$.

Dunno how often I'll come here (I'm on vacation right now), in the forum. But after reading a lot of newsletters I've come to appreciate the "expertise" of u all.

Well I'll stop rambling now and wish u all a great week.

HI Everyone, I just joined this morning. I picked up the BeadStlye magazine in the US when I was there a couple of weeks ago visiting my kids and I fell in love with it. So I have subscribed to the magazine and joined the website. New Zealanders are in to beading but of course we do not have half as many resources as you all have in the states. So I, as an American living in Auckland for the past 5 years just started beading last year and am entirely hooked. My quilting has taken a back seat I am working on a line of jewelry that reflects my passions and artistry and hope to sell to many of the little boutiques here. I am always looking for inspiration and BeadStyle magazine certainly inspired me. I am looking forward to chatting on this forum with others. hi ! i'm new here at beadstyle. ive brought 2 beadstyle mags & i try to create the ones i like w/the current materials i have. im not that creative so i try to imitate the ones i see. instructions are easy to follow & i dont get frustrated trying to achieve the look i want. i hope & pray to come up w/ my own ideas soon. i got laid off from my work last february & i took up basic beads class from the local government near our place. i would like this to be my source of income but I have LOTS TO LEARN. since im a beginner, i ended up buying lots of plastic beads that i really dont need at all or ive brought too much. so im trying to use them up by creating 1 style in different colors. i just stay at home now & take care of my 2 daughters aged 8 & 4. by the way, pardon if my english is not very good or correct. well, im sure will be here in this site often since the mags here cost almost 150pesos or i think $3...without a job, thats expensive. great to find your site...LOVE IT ! (im also not sure if i posted this in the right place...forgive me...i also have to learn going around this site-not very good at it yet...will learn soon! have a grat day !)
