Go to the gray 'community' tab at the top of this screen, then choose 'archived forums'.  You'll find lots of good information if you put in the keyword 'tent' or 'pop up tent'.  Alice

    Hi,

For a Sales tax ID, contact your state's Department of Treasury, at least that is how it works here in Michigan. I would imagine they can send you the necessary info and forms to register your business.

I use 2 First-Up 10 ft x 10 ft tents from Wal-Mart as my display tents.  They're less than $90 and my two have been very reliable.  You can also get side curtains for around $40 per tent that you can put up on the sides of the tent, zip closed, and your merchandise is somewhat secure for the night.  Well, it's out of sight for the night - ripstop curtains and zippers won't stop determined thieves.  The curtains do a good job of stopping wind and rain and the tent top is largely rainproof.  There have been reports of seams leaking, but I've not had that problem.
