wire to make own ear wires

I am looking for some sterling silver wire to make my own ear wires with. 20 or 22 gage wire would be best. Anyone know of a good place to find the wire??

    Thanks

Re: wire to make own ear wires

    Hi beadchicka!

I use 22 or 24 gauge to make ear wires. The 20 gauge, while more firm, I think is bigger than standard ear piercings.

I buy my sterling wire from a  local shop that doesn't charge a silver surcharge. But, you can get it at firemountaingems.com also, and they have all assortable pricing breaks.

    Hope that helps!

     Aloha-

I use 22 gauge wire usually, people complain about the thickness of 20 gauge wire.

I got a good deal on some sterling wire from TwistedJewels on ebay--they also have a website at http://www.twistedjewel.com.
