I met with our Online department this morning and discussed some questions about the forum. Here are the main points we covered:

• When you're looking at the folders in a forum, can we have the forum display the member who started each thread? Yes, the Online department will format it to look like the Art Jewelry forum.

• Forum speed: Is it going to get faster? Since the forum launched, our Online team has minimized the size of the Web site's photos and graphics as much as they can. So, it should be better than when the forums first launched, but there isn't anything else they can do at this point.

• Photos are too large and they are ruining how the forum is displayed. Our Online team will be adding a feature that automatically resizes photos to an appropriate size.

• Forum FAQ: Our Online department is currently developing an FAQ for the new forums. This will include information on posting photos, creating hyperlinks, and adding avatars. I've also requested that they include a key to all the forum's new symbols.

This might be a dumb question but when you say "resize the photos" it means that you will not have to scroll down and accross to get the entire message or photo, right? That is driving me absolutely crazy. You scroll down to see what's there and then move over but still don't get the whole message or pic. How annoying!!!!!!

Yes, the forum will resize photos so that the entire picture shows up in the allotted space. That way you won't have to scroll around to see the entire picture.

UPDATE!

The forum is now resizing photos to fit on the page. Also, when you are viewing a forum, it now displays the names of both the member who started a thread and the member who has posted most recently.
