beads and stones on twisted wire

Does anyone have an easy method/tutorial on how to add beads and gemstones using wire.

For example, say I make a 16" necklace of small button pearls - how do I add wire twists of other beads and stones so they "branch-out" from the main piece?

In the March '08 issue of BeadStyle, our aquamarine birthstone project sounds kind of like what you're describing. Here's a picture:

If this is what you're looking for, the March '08 issue is on newsstands now.

Maybe more like the July 06 Beadstyle, there was a Wire Work pattern that fits the same description. Branch....something. Drat I can't remember. Anyway, maybe Lindsay would know.
