    Color Challenge 2007, revisited

    Aloha everyone!

The original Color Challange and its follow-up Topics, are shelved in the archives for the moment, but I finally completed the last challenge offered to me.  Here it is, Red, Black and Gold:

    Aia La 'o Pele

I did not create the Challenge, but it has been lots of fun for me to participate.  I will definitely give due credit when the archives are unlocked and I can find the references to the original poster(s).

Meanwhile, here are the guidelines:  This is an informal, unofficial, no time limit, any media, non-judged (and hopefully non-judgemental) exercise for anyone who would like to participate.  It's great to get your creative juices flowing!  I will post a color combination to get things started, and the next person in may accept the Challenge posted, by stating so, and also posting another color combo for the next person.  You may choose to post your finished piece here at any time.

To avoid confusion, if you are just visiting, but would like to comment, please state that you are going to "pass" on colors for now.

Your Color Challenge, should you choose to accept is:  White, Green & Violet (This message will hopefully not self-destruct in 30 seconds!)  Have fun!  ~alohabc

I don't know if I will accept the challenge, no time just now, but I think this is an awesome idea.  What a great way to get the juices flowing, and maybe in a color combo outside of your norm.  I love it!!!

" align="absbottom">Ok, I have not posted here for almost a year (too much going on in my life!) but these color challenges are always fun!  Can't believe no one else was inspired by your lovely orchids!

Aloha, I will take your challenge.

Next person in line .... your challenge is brown, turquoise & white!

PS (how have you been Alohabc?)

Just a simple necklace, but your Orchids were definitely an inspiration.

Hello!  I'm new here, and would just like some clarification on the challenge - are you limited only to the colors listed, or does your piece just have to incorporate them, but can also include other colors?

As far as I know it, you must incorporate the colors listed. However, it makes it more challenge to do just those three colors.

Aloha leanne, Webbe, katmaz & everyone!  Yes, that's right Webbe.  I think everyone's been trying to stick to the colors given, but every once in awhile someone sneaks in something or makes a substitution, if they feel the need to.  This is meant to be a no-pressure challenge, so just go ahead and have fun with it!

katmaz~You're necklace is beautiful, and I see you even added a bit of aloha to the theme!  BTW, I'm fine!  Settling into a new routine with all the forums to get accustomed to, like everyone else.  I'm not ready to take another challenge yet, so your color combo is still open to the next person who's willing...

Mahalo (thank you) everyone and hope you'll join in the fun!  ~alohabc

Very nice, I love the classic line of a simple uncluttered design.  Shows off your pearl & turquoise very nicely!  Not taking the challenge at this time, so Webbe's colors are still open.  Come on everyone join in the fun.

Aloha EliteBeadCreation!  I believe it is about the color of my avatar's hair...maybe alittle darker?  ~alohabc

Bump! Trying to get some new memebers to join our challenge!

Still no takers for green, taupe, and royal purple.

Alohabc was correct. Royal purple is the color of her atavar's hair.

a color challenge is a clever idea! maybe putting it in a more high traffic area of the forum would get more people involved. i know i didnt see this until now, maybe im not the only one who didnt realize this was here.best wishes. -laura

Here is my rendition of green, taupe and purple.  It's a little hard to see, but the cubes are light and dark purple.

And the colors for the next taker.... three shades of blue!
