    Tiger Wire

I have just finished my first project and loved the process. Soooo today I went and bought stuff to make more!! One of the projects calls for "Tiger Wire" and I don't understand why this is different from the wire I will be using for the necklace. Can someone enlighten me? I would appreciate it. I don't want to start the necklace and then get stuck. Thanks. This is a wonderful forum.

They're probably talking about Tiger Tail - it's a beading wire that, compared to Soft Flex, Accuflex & Beadalon, is very stiff.  A long time ago, Tiger Tail was pretty much the only thing available in hobby stores.

Unless your project is something really unusual (I can't imagine a situation where Tiger Tail would be preferable, but you never know) you should be able to substitute any brand of flexible beading wire. You probably want to stick with .015 diameter since Tiger Tail is heavier than .010.

My personal preference is Soft Flex or Soft Touch.  It's a bit more expensive than some of the others, but the flexibility and drape is hard to beat.  There are others that swear by Accuflex and Beadalon - try all of them and see which works best for you.
