i am in a quandary.  i had this great website designed, and sales via website have been pretty much non-existent.  i've made several changes/improvements at the suggestion of many of you (thank you!).

now, however, i'm realizing that without an SEO campaign, my site will rarely be found.  i've tried PPC, at too much expense and with no luck.  i've added my site to many of the free search engines, added some links, etc.  in other words, trying to do it myself is getting me nowhere.

has anybody used any marketing companies/SEO campaign management folks, and what has been your experience?  can anyone recommend any specific companies? does the expense of having someone optimize your site, and performing link building services (non-automated) help in the long run?.  i don't know enough about the internal workings of  a site to work on it myself -- plus i'm also working a "paying job" :-o)

i do know that i need to do something to hopefully get some interest and sales this holiday season.

 before I decided to start an etsy store, I was going to hire an SEO expert to get my original site noticed. the fees at etsy are so low I am going to see how that works first. I think you need to do SEO bigtime and if you don't know how it's worth hiring someone. here is my etsy store:
