Please don't get discouraged and quit!  All of us have made pieces that didn't work.  What's great is that you can rip them apart and start over.

You need to ask yourself what you didn't like about it and learn from that.  Was it the color choice, size of beads or bead placement?  Was it how it laid on your wrist? I temporarily string my pieces on practice wire and lay them on my wrist or around my neck to see how they lay/drape, and if the colors work.  If they do, I restring them on good wire, if not, I start over.

I kept the very first necklace I made (eventhough I now think it's ugly) because it was the first one I made, and because I can look at it and see how far I've come with my work.

Can you post a picture so we can give some advice?

If you like the bracelet, wear it. Also, as said, you could post a pic and we could tell you if we like it, and I am betting we will. I go with my gut, and if I like it, I am one of those people that really does not care what others think. I just wear what I like, period. Making jewelry is an art, not just a craft. You need to combine shapes, colors, designs etc so that they flow, have visual beauty. Now, that said, all those things are sort of a matter of opinion. I always tell people taking my beading classes, if you like it, then it is beautiful. I really doubt anyone is going to laugh at you dear....but post a pic, let us see it, then we can all laugh (NOT) together, laugh at you because you are silly and your bracelet is probably beautiful and I will probably want it!!!!!! Lets see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: what to do??

Oh, don't give up!  Let's see a picture of your creation!

I have worn a few of the pieces I made and it's kind of funny what different people like.  I have worn some things that I thought were pretty and no one said a word.  On the other hand, things I wasn't too pleased with, people ended up raving about - you just never know!

One thing I've been doing is collecting pictures out of the ads in the Sunday newspaper and catalogs.  I am putting them in a scrapbook and I get my inspiration that way.  Kohls is one ad that I have several neat jewelry design in and have modified them to make my own.  Coldwater Creek is a great catalog for unique jewelry ideas, as well.  Keep trying and let us see what you come up with!
