Recession Rx: An anecdote to shopping

According to a blurb in the uly 2009 issue of "O" about the potential demise of the mall, when people shop, they go into a trance, a pleasurable state in which they lose their sense of time and are oblivious to other things. As malls close, where will people go for their bliss? Clinical psychologist Mary Gresham says jewelry making and other crafts (knitting. quilting) create the same feeling.

If anyone was looking for justification for a bead purchase, (as if you needed one)  this would be it!
