Each year at the Bead&Button show, the editors from BeadStyle, Bead&Button, and Art Jewelry demonstrate different techniques and offer quick projects, so attendees can make a piece of jewelry to take with them. It’s great for us because we get to mingle with readers, and it’s great for the people at the show, because the demos are free and less than an hour long. This year a gentleman sat down at the table and made really beautiful earrings. Later at the show I ran into him and his wife.
His wife, Margaret Ross, is peppy and friendly and makes earring findings for those of us with multiple piercings. The findings are sterling silver and can be adjusted to fit your piercings. Because if yours were done with an ice cube and needle, like mine were, they may not be exactly even. You can add an extra beaded dangle to the findings, too. I thought the design was pretty clever and just wanted to give a shout out to this lovely couple from DeWitt, Michigan. For more information, contact Margaret at margaret@margaretrossjewelry.com, or visit margaretrossjewelry.com.
Margaret has also designed a unisex bracelet in honor of the Courter family. The silver bangles are engraved with the words, wisdom, vision, family, faith, love, spirit, and hope — words she feels best describes this family. The profits from the sale of these bracelets go to benefit the DeWitt Community Build.
