Ornaments in July

It's July 1st. Time to start thinking about holiday ornaments. (Actually, I started my holiday trolling last month, when I picked up an amber-colored glass ornament from Doug Remschneider.)

Today, Jane and I went to Jo-Ann, and I picked up a few pendants that I'm going to make into ornaments. This will be my sixth ornament project for BeadStyle; I've done one every year, and it has become something of a tradition.

The glass pendants are from the Dress It Up Bead Company. They're packaged with glass beads, which I may or may not incorporate in my design. (If you click on the pendant images, you'll see what beads are included.) Some of the pendants are heavy, but that will work nicely when I need something to weigh down certain branches on my tree.

Lest you think my holiday spirit is premature, I'll let you know the deadline for my story: July 15. Look for the November issue when it hits newsstands in early October.
