Have you heard about bead diets? You get (or make) a bracelet that wraps around your wrist twice and add beads to represent a certain number of calories, Weight Watchers points, grams of fat – whatever you count in your weight-loss system. Then, as you consume said number of calories, points, or grams of fat, you move a bead from the first wrap around your wrist to the second wrap, thus helping you keep count throughout the day.
Now we all know beading can be therapeutic, but do you think it can really help you lose weight? Has anybody tried this? While you all weigh in (I mean give your opinion, not hit the scale), check out a few adaptations, alternatives, and antics I found regarding this idea on etsy.com:
• On this Skinny Jeans Weight Loss Bracelet, you move a tiny pair of tiny pants over the beads as you count.
• A Happy Vegetables Charm Bracelet reminds you to eat a variety of brightly colored veggies each day.
• This Junk Food Anti-Diet Bracelet was inspired by intense cravings that inevitably result from being told NOT to eat junk food.
Unfortunately, the last two bracelets were recently sold, but they're still great for laughs and inspiration.
