Our green issue

Since our April/May issue will be hitting the newsstand in time for Earth Day (April 22) we decided to include a "green" themed  staff challenge. Each of us designed jewelry made from eco-friendly materials to go with a cool top made of sustainable materials.

We were very excited to see how many "shades" of green we found. We eventually came up with jewelry that were very different but all perfect for the shirt we choose. Our materials for these projects ranged from recycled glass beads to pendents made from old record albums, but we had a lot of choices.

Have you gone green in any of your designs? We'd love to see your creations.

I am personally a huge fan of recycled glass beads!  They're gorgeous and give a kind of hip, retro feel.  I've done a few simple, one strand designs with them and people have raved.

    Love the green!
