Bumper crop of confusion

We've gotten a few inquiries about the bead bumpers used in the earrings on the January 2008 issue Get Inspired page. Bead bumpers are used instead of knots to create spaces between beads. The bumpers are made of a stretchy material that hugs beading wire, memory wire, and other types of stringing material. One of the great things about these beads are that they can be very difficult to see giving the illusion that the beads they are "bumping" are floating. Of course, the cloud behind this silver lining is that they are a bit hard to photograph. The ones on the "Get Inspired" page look like tiny white seed beads. A bit hard to see, really easy to use. Check out the November 2007 issue of BeadStyle for another bead bumper project.
