It's still October and the world is doing its best to drag me into 2008. I spent the early part of the afternoon looking at the final proofs of the Dec./Jan. issue of BeadStyle and the late afternoon working on the March issue. Last week I started trying to figure out my schedule for the Tucson show in February and this week brought the 2008 Toronto Bead Society Calendar to me in the mail.
Even though I'm trying to hold onto what's left of 2007, I really enjoyed the TBS calendar. The work of the 12 artists represented is gorgeous and sales of the calendar benefit the Corsage Project. The project's mission is to provide formal gowns and accessories, free of
charge, to Toronto area high school girls who are unable to buy
their own prom attire. Visit the Toronto Bead Society's Web site to get more information.
Thanks to Maria Rypan, who is "Miss September," (my favorite month!) for sending me such a cool calendar. It's making the too-quick exit of 2007 a lot less scary.
