Lacking follow through

I’ve noticed this pattern that I have fallen into. I’ll envision of a piece of jewelry I want to make, I’ll order really neat beading supplies to make the project, but if I don’t make the piece within a week after receiving my order, the project moves to the back burner, and I just don’t get around to making it. I had big plans this past weekend to make jewelry, but instead I was down sick in bed with a head cold. I’ve got to figure out a way to follow through with my initial intentions. Tons of great ideas, just not enough follow through. What’s a gal to do?

After you feel better, tell everyone you are dropping off the face of the earth to spend a few hours with your beads, even if it includes throwing in a DVD and organizing.  Don't force the creativity, play with a strand you just bought, etc.  Just spend some quality time with them and maybe something good will happen.

I've been feeling the same way, and allocating time is the hardest part when life comes calling in every other direction.

I got that way for a while but then I just said to myself "if you don't make it , no one will get their gifts". So I sat down, tried to think of a design, then fiddled with the beads until something clicked. Once I started, there was no stopping me.

I order beads and wait a while to get them as well.  Sometimes I'll go through my order a week later and the inspiration is not there with me, so I put my order of beads away for a few days.  Then I will get out a magazine, or a group of colors together (whatever inspired me to buy the beads in the first place) and really think and reflect on those colors.  After spending a bit of time reflecting, I find that the inspiration comes back.  Perhaps you drew a picture of the vision you had... pull out that picture and let the imagination take over.
