A friend just sent me a Web address for the Etsy Beadweavers monthly challenge. I encourage everybody to check it out and vote. I realize that BeadStyle blog readers are probably more into stringing, but it's worth visiting just for the inspiration.

What I really find useful is seeing the artists' use of color. Some of the color combinations represented in the challenge are gorgeous. For me, the creative process usually starts with color. Looking at other people's jewelry, clothes, even the way an old Victorian house is painted, can spark an idea.

From the subtle variations of entry #10 to the fiesta tones of #16, the color choices are fascinating.
