Setting goals, online

I first found 43 Things in June when I was looking for information about vision boards. Today, I started an account. Basically, the site's members post their goals, and then cheer each other on in achieving those goals. The goals can be big or small, broad or specific — taking a psychology class, doing volunteer work, changing someone's life. There's room on your list for 43 things.

I love the concept. The site says, "Discover what's important, make it happen, share your progress" — very welcoming. If you're curious, you can also check out the zeitgeist section, which lists the most popular goals for the day and all-time. There's even an account feature where you can select a goal to accomplish and set a completion date. You can only pick one at a time, so you have to choose carefully. But how cool is that? I'm a big fan of making myself accountable for my goals, and putting them in writing is a great start. Hope to see you there.
