Beading hallucinations

I think it's possible that I've made one pair of earrings too many.

When photographing this pair of pearl dangles for an earring article in the January BeadStyle, I started to see faces in the beads. The big pearl looked like it has a face (please tell me you see this) and was talking to the little pearl, who looked like it was in profile when I first saw it. Today, I actually think the little pearl has turned and is looking at me. It looks mad.

I blame my hallucinations on the special issue we're just finishing — 365 Earrings. It will go on sale in November. The results are fantastic, but I think we're all a bit punchy. I'm hoping that by the time "Earrings" hits the newstand I won't think all 365 pairs are plotting against me.

Yes, I definitely need a vacation. More on this next week.
