I recently took a tour of the first and only Whole Foods in the Milwaukee area to try to inspire myself to eat better — I am eating organic kale as I write this. Tomorrow it could be Jelly Bellies, but, hey, it's a start.
Anyway, as we went from healthier frozen foods to gluten-free cereal, I came across something healthy for the wardrobe and the spirit — purses, scarves and jewelry from a company called "World of Good.'
World of Good acts as a distributor for artisans in 31 countries providing access to fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-term economic sustainability. The company says it re-invests 10 percent of its profits back in the artisan communities.
Of course, BeadStyle wants everybody to make their own jewelry, but if you want to buy some finished pieces, this is a great place to shop. Visit the World of Good site, check out the jewelry, and read more about World of Good. It's empowering to know you can make a difference in someone's life across the globe.
