Musings from Jane: Wonderful wire work

I have to write fast, so I can get back to my latest project. Technically it’s not MY project: It’s a wire necklace designed by Louise Jeremich for BeadStyle’s November issue.

Louise’s version is copper with turquoise beads. Because the November issue will feature all blue jewelry, I am using dark blue Artistic Wire and sodalite beads.

Louise’s version is beautiful. It has four pairs of wire scrolls, positioned in mirror images, then wired together. Her workwomanship is breathtaking — absolute perfectly matched scrolls. And, she told me she did it all with a roundnose pliers. I can hardly wait for you to see it. As for my version…It’s flawed, but learning a new technique is generally one part frustration and two parts fun.
